1767 Switzerland Ducat Zurich NGC VF35. Switzerland, Zurich. Gold Ducat 1767, Fr-486a, KM140. Lovely light gold antique patina and solidly struck. Only 3 of these wonderful old rare gold coins has been graded in all grades at NGC.
This ducat from Zurich has a lovely light gold antique patina. The coin is boldly struck and despite its circulated condition, all of the devices and legends are apparent. The obverse shows the oval arms of Zurich supported by a lion that is rearing up on its hind legs. The obverse legend is REIPUBLICAE TIGURINAE.DUCATUS. The reverse shows the date within an ornamented wreath with the legend DOMINE/ CONSERVA/ NOT IN/PACE.
The coin weighs 3.5000 grams, and is made from 0.9860 Gold. The actual gold weight is 0.1109 ounces. In its population report, NGC has graded only 3 ducats from 1767.
