1883 Quarter Eagle (1883 $2.50) PCGS PR64. Housed in a green label holder; if certified today, this near-Gem would doubtless warrant a Cameo designation. The orange-tinged yellow-gold fields are profoundly reflective, and the boldly impressed devices show outstanding frost. Two strike-throughs, most likely from thread from a polishing cloth, are visible on the reverse; the larger one meanders in the upper field.
