January 25, 2024 - Gobrecht Half Dollar to Gold Rare Coin Offering

Hi All,

I hope all is well and the new year is bringing you much potential. This week please find a continuation of rare coins for sale/trade that are in all aspects neat as heck and in some cases particularly in the realm of the most rare, off the charts rare. For decades Tom has specialized in the rarer or scarcer dates, mint marks in various series with a special emphasis on rare gold coins, early material, better or scarcer dates, mints not just United States Gold issues but from a number of different countries as well.

While we have been known to pop up with roll-bag quantities of common US Twenties, our long term interests are the same as the long term interests of our clients and by experience we have found that those goals can be found in what are among the rarest and in many cases the most undervalued numismatics when analyzed for investment potential. P.S. Soon, there will be an announcement that Tom has placed an Ephraim Brasher Regulated Gold Coin, in the same vein as the famed Brasher Doubloon. Not to keep you in suspense but this specimen (which will find its way to the press which will contain further details of interest) which bears the famed EB initials was placed in the low 6 figures while the famed Brasher Doubloon sold for 10 Million Dollars, and rumor has it that the coin was resold for approximately $15 Million. Interesting comparison for buying low and selling high?

This week a feast of rarities and otherwise neat coins awaits you beginning with an uber rare and beautiful Gobrecht design half dollar prototype or pattern coin which is formerly from the Eliasberg Collection and finest known at PCGS and CAC, to a wonderful assortment of United States Gold which should delight the most serious numismatic scholar or investor. Please scroll down to view some of this week's finest!

When you see a rare coin of interest, please click to request images and to temporarily reserve the coin, giving yourself a little time to review the images that we'll send you and communicating with us that you would like us to hold the coin while you do your research.

Please also note that these are just some selections from the vast inventory of really great rare coins we have to offer. If you do not see what you are looking for on our website, send us an email or give us a call, because if it's a really rare coin, chances are we have a lead on one for you or have it in the safe!

Please contact me as soon as possible, as this is a very healthy rare coin market.

Don't hesitate to share your Want List items; we are adept at filling them, and we're discreet.
