I hope all is well. Yowza what an interesting rare coin market we are watching. Never in history has there been so many collectors AND investors who seem to have well defined goals of what they want their rare coins to do for them and their Families. Many millions of dollars I can personally attest to have been invested in rarities to be set aside for the future. This is not short term but long term these coins will be off the market. These buyers are affecting availability and prices in no small way. Some of these coins are being shipped overseas where they will not be returning possibly for decades, possibly ever. This weeks hand picked offerings begin with a scarce Civil War Dime of 1861 in Proof 65 Cameo that will knock your socks off followed by an incredibly rare 1876-CC Dime in NGC MS-67 PLUS that is off the charts with eye appeal and rarity. Next up the first Morgan Dollar with 8 Tailfeathers in Gem MS-65 CAC followed by a Civil War Date Gold Dollar of 1865 in choice uncirculated condition. Next up is perhaps one of the greatest sleepers in all of numismatics, certainly in the quarter eagle series and that is the 1848 NO CAL quarter eagle this one in very choice about uncirculated condition followed by a grand 1854-S Double Eagle in About Uncirculated, lastly an 1866 Motto double Eagle in Uncirculated with claims to choice.
