It's been a very busy time of the year despite the fact this is historically the time of the year that activity is generally slow until everyone is done with our obligations which then opens up after the 15th. But this year it seems like a lot of collectors and to our astonishment ( not really ) investors are looking and buying coins. Not just investors in the USA mind you but globally. This weeks hand picked offerings begin with the first year the US mint struck half dollars in 1794 and this one is exceptionally nice with a cac sticker. Follow that up with a beautiful 1893-CC Morgan Silver Dollar in very choice uncirculated MS-63 by PCGS then a pair of gold dollars, the first being a recovered piece of treasure from the SS Central America dated 1851 with the pinch followed by a Gem MS-65 1853-O that has luster so outstanding you'll consider wearing your sunglasses if you view this one under the lights, to a major Carson City Rarity of 1874-CC $5 half eagle in very choice about uncirculated and one of the rarest finds in that series, to a superb gem MS-66+ 1907 $5 that will leave you breathless while examining under the loupe, to a lovely 1890-CC Eagle in choice about uncirculated condition AU-55 taking off for a 1904 $20 Double Eagle in PCGS MS-66 and landing on a near gem 1912 St Gaudens in NGC MS-64!
