I hope all is well. Well after a brief winter blast that y'all sent us from "up north", we are back to the 70's and 80's here in Southwest Florida and believe me it's a delight to be here. While the temperatures here have been starting to warm up the rare coin market both USA and World rare coins have been heating up while seemingly accepting the new reality of near $5,000 gold spot prices. There have been a number of bullion trades also being made with smart investors taking some profits from the precious metals and picking up a rare coin or 2 for a longer term hedge. Collectors are out in full force.
This weeks hand picked offerings begin with a blazing gem 1928-D Standing Liberty Quarter in PCGS MS-65 Full Head! Follow that one up with a gem uncirculated 1890-O Morgan dollar in NGC MS-65+. Hand picked gold rarities begin with a very scarce 1846-D/D $5 half eagle- in choice about uncirculated 55 with even nicer eye appeal, to an early Type 1 1852-O Double Eagle in very choice about uncirculated 58 by NGC followed by a beautiful 1906 Liberty Double Eagle in choice uncirculated MS-63 CAC followed by a superb gem 1911-S St Gaudens PCGS MS-65+. For territorial gold we show a wonderful and rare 1852/1 Humbert Gold $20 XF-45 followed by one of the worlds largest gold coins struck for circulation, the highly desirable 1727 Brazil 20,000 Reis in PCGS MS-61
