JULY 15th, 2026-USA GOLD AND WORLD RARE COINS

Hello All,

I hope all is well. We hope you are staying cool too as we are seeing a heat wave in parts of the country, it's been in the 90's here and factoring humidity they say it "feels" more like 112! Southern Florida summers that will take you to your limits. I know when I lived in Dallas they told me that Dallas was an oven in the summertime and it was. In fact right there in heritages parking lot the heat was so unbelievable it lifted up the dashboard of my less than a year old new car. Orlando is sort of a temporary escape from what we have going on right now in Southwest Fla. I will have something to say about the FUN show in the next newsletter but for the time being please enjoy some of this weeks hand picked offerings ranging from rare and proof United States Gold to very neat gold coins from France and a beautiful British Gothic Crown, which as those of you who follow us know, we tend to focus on neat and rare material like this and have done so for decades. Happy Collecting everyone!

Update on the all new US Rare Coin Investments website. I am very close to nailing the initial design down and am literally working every day with the designers to make this happen as soon as possible. Once the design elements have been finalized the programming will begin.

This weeks hand picked offerings begin with the sole California minted USA Gold dollars of 1856-S in very choice about uncirculated condition followed by a gorgeous Choice Proof Gold dollar of 1886 that is virtual cameo (please check out the enlarged images) to another affordable and rare Proof Gold, this one a 1903 Half Eagle in Proof 61, followed by a Civil War Dated Eagle of 1865 in choice extremely fine 45 with quite nice surfaces and strike, followed by the final USA gold offering before we cross the Atlantic and that's a Gem Uncirculated MS-65 $10 Indian Eagle of 1908. As we cross the Atlantic, we land in France, with this week we offer a 1652 Louis XIV LD'Or NGC AU58 at a price methinks you will see the value for yourself, next to a choice uncirculated 1806-A France 40 Francs NGC MS62. Just across the waterway we find a gorgeous and well-defined silver 1847 Great Britan Gothic Crown PCGS PROOF 53 . Several of these coins are brand new or showing price discounts from the website.

1856-S G$1 NGC AU58

The sole San Francisco Mint Type II issue with this specimen showing very choice about uncirculated condition by NGC.

$5,440

1886 G$1 PCGS PF63

Very sharp 1886 Proof Gold Dollar with Cameo contrast. If you've always wanted a proof gold example but was waiting for a cameo appearing coin at a very reasonable price level, here it is. Most of these coins don't look like this one, very choice and exceptional eye appeal.

$4,785

1903 $5 NGC PF61

Proof half eagles are tough, this coin is no exception to that. While it's numerical grade may appear low, the eye appeal seems better. Quite nice in fact and all proof gold is scarce to extremely rare.

$6,890

1865 $10 NGC XF45

The guns would stop and agreements would be signed this final year of the Civil War. This extremely fine 45 Eagle has lovely surfaces and is well struck. Civil War enthusiasts please note, these are never available when you need them.

$14,250

1908 Motto $10 PCGS MS65

Gem 1908 Motto Indian Eagle in PCGS MS-65. Scarce and as an MS-65 coin is also a target for dealers-investors-type set builders. A good deal.

$8,985

1652 France Louis XIV LDOr NGC AU58

Rare French Gold showing a total population of about a dozen coins. Only 4 are showing to have reached grade AU-58, so close to uncirculated. Great value and history.

$2,775

1806-A France 40 Francs NGC MS62

Napoléon Empereur or Paris Splendide otherwise known as Napolean Gold. Rare and generally seen in lower grade. Very choice uncirculated Napolean Gold 40 Francs.

$4,825

1847 Great Britan Gothic Crown PCGS PF53

To quote PCGS, "If somebody were to ask a coin collector in Great Britain what is your “favourite” coin of all-time? The Gothic Crown will probably be at the top of the list or even number one". Here is a choice about uncirculated proof Gothic Crown of 1847 with intense and deep original toning and it's not in England but here in the USA enjoying the heat of South Florida.

$8,995
