I hope all is well. Everyone is back from the shows and feeling good with summertime upon most of us. Don't forget this is a busy year and the next Summer FUN show should be quite active despite the heat that will most certainly accompany it. Better to stay inside and do some coin dealing! Meanwhile the activity is unchanged despite so many shows and hundreds of millions od dollars trading hands for numismatics and not only has there not been any dampening, the size of the want lists have increased. Speaking of which, please let me know what are your top 3 most wanted rare coins. I will add them to the top of the list and give them priority. Speaking of priority, I've been meaning to mention this for awhile, the prices for the coins I handpick for the newsletter each week is usually different that any price you'll see on the website. Why? Because as a newsletter subscriber you either qualified as a client or have signed up over the years. In any event, the prices on the newsletter are in many cases a "discounted" price ONLY found on the newsletter. So when inquiring about a coin double check the price because if it's a coin that is sent on the newsletter you can probably save a little money. This discount is NOT available anywhere else.
This weeks hand picked offerings begin with the key date to the Indian quarter eagle gold series, the 1911-D in Choice About Uncirculated 55 condition which is an excellent grade for a stand alone specimen as well as a good grade for those wishing to assemble a set of Indian quarter eagles, a set that is also dear to my heart and one that is always in demand by both collectors and investors. Next up is a Choice lustrous and very scarce 1865-S Civil War half eagle minted in San Francisco during the final year of the Civil War, next up a possible mate for the 11-d Quarter eagle is assembling a type set, here's a 1911-D Indian Eagle Choice Uncirculated MS-62, also PCGS followed by a Civil War Dated Double Eagle from the Republic Shipwreck 1861-S in very choice about uncirculated 58 condition one of very few such dated double eagles found on the ship, next up a Holy Cow Saint, maybe that's not enough let's try " Godzilla over Tokyo Monster 1925 $20. Saint in PCGS MS-66+ CAC ( ! ) followed by one of the neatest of all gold patterns struck in copper, this one Judd 1236, a most delightful and rare idea of what they were considering the next $3.00 gold coin might look like, uber rarity with a population of only 2 which includes this present coin and a single example finer.
