MARCH 11th 2026 - Gold and Silver Rare Coins+EARLY COPPER

Hello All,

I hope all is well. Baltimore show was quite active with a line forming several times during the show. There is also a roller coaster ride in the gold market which had a slight effect at the show with some collectors selling while some others "holding out for the bounce" in both cases we are seeing the majority of these sales become trades for numismatics. So there has been a sort of flight to safety which many people feel can be found in better numismatics whose price is not determined by what an oz of gold is valued at today. I think this bodes well for the collector who is building a collection of value over time. I have a number of collectors I've dealt with over the years for example who purchased uber rarities and have seen their values quadruple and more over a period of time. There's a formula of sorts for that, not for the weak of heart but a proven method of attaining those goals.

This weeks hand picked offerings begin with a very neat early large cent of 1794 with the head of a 1795 in very choice extremely fine 45 by PCGS. Next up a Classic quarter eagle of 1838 in select uncirculated condition MS-62 followed by a sharp 1891-CC half eagle in choice uncirculated MS-63 graded by PCGS to an 1857-S Not SSCA Eagle in choice about uncirculated which is surprisingly scarce, to a trio of way cool double eagles beginning with a rare 1850 SS Central America 2 XF-45 CAC which is one of very few found on the ship, followed by a very scarce 1856-S SS Central America in very choice uncirculated MS-63 PCGS, to a very rare double die obverse 1859-S $20 in choice uncirculated MS-61 which is extremely rare and undervalued in our opinion, lastly a neat great Britain Gothic Crown in Proof 55 that will delight the crown collector.
