I hope all is well. We are back to the 80's here in SW Florida and it's starting to heat up, will probably see 90 within days from now. Seems like yesterday had to turn the heat on! The coin business is also heating up despite the gyrations in the precious metals markets. If you were ever thinking of using some of the more common gold coins or bullion as a way to obtain a rarity or special addition to your estate, now would be a good time to do so. At the time of this writing gold spot was $4399.00 or down 14% since the top.
This weeks hand picked offerings begin with a blazing off the charts gem gold dollar dated 1853-O in MS-65 followed by yet another scarce New Orleans gold coin, an 1843-O quarter eagle gold in MS-63 with the next on the list a rare civil War dated quarter eagle of 1862 in high grade MS-63 that looks even nicer, followed by a very tough $3.00 gold dated 1856-S from the SS Central America Shipwreck and is one graded as such and only 1 graded higher, next up we reverse the 56-S to an 1865-S Civil War half eagle scarcity from California in extremely fine 45 that looks about uncirculated, to an extremely rare 1st year of type and very tough to locate as high a grade and as nice a quality as this example in very choice about uncirculated 58, to a lone double eagle of 1859 which sits right next to a choice uncirculated French 1704 LD'Or Gold in MS-61, all in all the investor and collector should be pleased!
