I hope all is well. This week we\'ve snipped off a few gems from inventory to highlight. Out of millions of dollars in inventory, these are some of my favorite picks. We are all getting our engines restarted after labor day weekend, and right out of the gate we\'re watching the coin market and the results of the ANA.
It is our observations and belief that not only is the collector marching ahead in this market, the investor is also choosing what appeals to them and what appears to be undervalued. This is all making for a busy market. Check out the high grade US gold being offered this week and tell me if the prices aren\'t tempting even if you don\'t collect those particular series!
A number of clients of mine, some who have done business with me for several decades asked me about what appears to be my increase of World and Ancient rare coins being offered. This is true. While I\'ve purchased world coins for decades I\'ve keept them mostly in the back, for a few clients with specialized want lists but those few clients have now become dozens of clients and I can spot the "value" in many of these coins which just by rarity alone make a compelling case to own and if not build a collection of world material, certainly diversify within ones collection for the same reasons one diversifies ones investment portfolio. To reduce overall risk and invest in undervalued issues. Who is to say that the Roman Gold I offered last week is not "worth" multiples of what the asking price is? I think it will be, it\'s a question of when. Many collectors are doing the same.
