Mint state 61 1804 Early Half Eagle in an NGC holder and a wisp away from being truly choice. Interesting variation of BD-1 with no telltale die crack thru 0 in date . Wonderful die crack touching beak on reverse. Lovely with strong coruscating luster . Well struck. You will not find another 1804 half eagle as nice as this specimen unless the holder says MS-63 and even then, the comparisons will be close.
