1896 Morgan Dollar PCGS MS64 CAC.
P.Q. Cool color! An explosion of color on both obverse
and reverse of this gem silver dollar that is 110
years old. Literally a work of art that is unique
in the series and one of the neatest colors, I have
seen in 25 years in the business. Examined by Collector
Acceptance Corp (CAC) and they have affixed their
green sticker of acceptance denoting the high quality
of this beautiful Morgan Silver Dollar.
Every once in awhile we come across coins which are
so eye-catching that we have to look multiple times
to realize what for special coin we hold. Such a coin
we presently offer. 1896 Morgan Dollars are not rare
in the absolute term, as examples are plentiful in
virtually all grades, including gem and finer. However,
unlike many other dates, this is a date which is seldom
found with exceptional and wild coloration, as we
see on this coin. Words are not enough to describe
this coin, which needs to be viewed in hand to see
the full explosion in color. We will not try to name
every color that is seen, and in fact, ‘every
color of the rainbow’ is most appropriate. Additionally,
the coin features full cartwheel luster, a sharp strike,
and only a few minor marks. Stickered by CAC as well,
its eye-appeal and quality is further confirmed, although
we would have never doubted it.
