NGC AU55. CAC. A great $10.00 gold coin from smack in
the beginning of the “ California Gold Rush”
days. Lovely original luster remains around the devices.
Some very light original toning covers parts of both obverse
and reverse. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally
struck. The current CU Value is $1,450. These are super
popular dates and consider that there are NO DOUBLE EAGLES
of this date. The only Double Eagle dated 1849 is permanently
impounded in the Smithsonian Coin Collection. Excellent
aquisition for the collector or investor.
