Virtually perfect gem proof Indian Half Eagle showing fine matte surfaces which grab the viewer with tiny granular facets overlaid in orange and olive color. Fewer than half of the 144 matte proof Half Eagles produced this year appear to have survived and, of the small quantity of Gem or better specimens we have seen over the years, this beautiful representative is quite superior in quality.
