1936 Gettysburg Commemorative Half Dollar, PCGS MS65 CAC. The Battle of Gettysburg half dollar is one of the most historically important and popular half dollars in the Classic Commemorative Half Dollar series.

Gettysburg, the turning point in the Civil War, and perhaps in the future of the Republic, these coins are quintessentially American. I have searched high and low for these coins and from the worlds largest coin show and auction ( FUN ) to date I have only been able to buy one specimen ( this one ) that's fair in price and high in quality. I've seen 4 different coins, 2 of which were so-so in quality, another that was nice but I was out priced from the coin and this specimen which is the nicest one in MS-65 that I've seen in months. With the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War just around the corner , anything related to this moment in history should be quite sought after. This specimen has an exceptional strike, and eye opening luster! Excellent coin.
