QUARTERS
Please call:  1-800-624-1870
Though the quarter denomination was authorized by the Coinage Act of April 2, 1792 no actual quarter dollar coins were struck by the United States Mint until 1796. From that point on quarters have been issued in seven distinct design types and were struck in silver through 1964. Beginning in 1965 and continuing to today, the composition was changed to a .750 copper and .250 nickel clad content.
Quarters have long been both a foundation of American commerce as well as a favorite of coin collectors. Virtually every type within the series boasts rare and valuable varieties which are among some of the most desired coins within all of numismatics. While all types are collected by date, the Washington quarter is perhaps the most widely collected of all and has enjoyed an enormous boost in popularity propelled by the State Quarter design program. U.S. Rare Coin Investments deals in all quarters so whether buying or selling please contact us today to discuss how we can serve you.
